For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions.

DIGIT.A.2 collaborates with other Commission services to deliver high-quality IT solutions for EC and non-EC services, facilitating the Commission's Digital Transformation and EU policies. It manages systems for public procurement, digital document submission, and budget management.

Key systems include eProcurement, OPSYS, TIREMA, SEDIA, and Grants, covering planning, pre-award, and results evaluation.

Below are the details of your role and requirements.

**Your role**
- Practical validation and implementation of the solutions recommended or designed by the SoftwareArchitects
- Design, development, tests, documentation, release control, maintenance and technical support of software components and services matching the specifications
- Proof of concept, prototyping of software solutions
- Technical responsibility for software development projects
- Assistance and support to Software Architects and Information System developers
- Provision of technical studies, technical expertise, technical evaluations in relation with Information
- Production of technical documentation
- Assistance with configuration of the system for production deployment
- Participation in meetings within the Commission

**Who we think you are**:

- Prior knowledge of public procurement business processes.
- Ability to combine many different skills and experiences to address and solve business, information, and technology related opportunities and problems
- Extensive experience with validation of Java Enterprise technologies, Microservices
Architecture, Kafka infrastructures.
- Excellent leadership and conciliation skills
- Communications skills, both verbal (e.g.: presentations, seminars, etc.), and written (e.g.: reports, articles, etc.).
- Group session facilitation
- Knowledge of relational database management
- Understanding modelling languages or tools (e.g. UML)
