Your new Company:
Are looking to contribute to Europe and Belgium's ambitions for the Energy Transition. Through this, they have foreseen the need to extend its offshore high voltage grid. Connecting to a cluster of Belgium windfarms.
Your new Role:
Your new role as Project Cost Controller would report to the project management officer on the basis of cost management, project budgets and tracking costs, helping to contribute to scheduling, budget analysis and reporting.
The project being the concept to build and construct:
- An artificial energy island (with offshore transmission infrastructure)
- Multiple AC substations at 66kV & 220 kV
- 6x 220kV AC export cable systems of ~50 km each
- HVDC connection (1 converter offshore, 1 converter onshore, HVDC cable system) between the artificial island and the new substation.
- Possibility to connect future HVDC interconnectors
**Job Description**:
Reporting to the Project Management Officer, covering multiple tasks including:
- Set up the project budget structure, following the established cost management plan and WBS structures.
- Build the budget; establish the project cost baseline; update the budget
- Maintain and update cost forecasts, based on progress information about the project (Earned value management).
- Provide monthly cost reports to the project management team, including baseline comparison, KPIs, etc, in accordance with the Cost Management Plan.
- Gather requests for invoicing from the EPC contractors and obtain approval for invoice payment from the responsible person, appointed in the Roles & Responsibilities section of the Cost Management Plan.
- Schedule Risk Assessment -Propose mitigation measures.
- Claims & variation order analysis - Periodic reporting to Corporate Controlling Departments
Your Profile:
- Expert knowledge of the MS Office suite (especially MS Excel), SAP, PowerBI, and MS Project
- Good notions of Primavera P6.
- Knowledge of infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of project management methodology PMI/PMBOK is a plus
- Expert knowledge of cost management techniques and methodologies.
- Very good knowledge of English.
What you need to do now:
The job is based in Brussels, minimum 2 days a week in the office.
This is a temporary contract at 1 year, with a likely extension.
Fluent in English, additional Dutch or French are a bonus.
