**Your New Role**
The Local Buyer is supporting Procurement department and Lead Buyer in the execution of the purchase. She/He is responsible for purchasing good and services for the business and/or projects and following up to ensure right on time deliveries according to the specifications (quantities and quality). The Local Buyer is also responsible of non-strategic commodities locally purchased.

Under the responsibility of the Procurement Manager and in support of the project teams, you will be responsible for managing all the necessary actions within your categories and purchasing scope.
**What you will do**
- Support Lead Buyer by processing orders of goods and services as specified by internal customers, at optimized cost / quality / performance.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure delivery times and the required quality are respected.
- Research and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Advise internal players on market developments.
- Send RFIs and RFQs, negotiate and define purchase terms and conditions.
- Participate in the supplier selection process and provide risk analysis.
- Dealing with suppliers with the commercial aspect of supply modifications or technical changes.
- Proactively prevent possible product obsolescence.
- Participate in supplier evaluation.
- Collect and communicate the necessary information to the Lead Buyer so that he can set up project purchasing files.
- Update and follow-up of metrics / KPIs to assess supplier performance.
- Locally source non-strategic goods and services if needed.
**What You'll Need to Succeed**
- 5 years’ experience in a purchasing function within an industrial and international context.
- Bachelor in procurement, purchasing, technical/engineering and/or sales.
- Knowledge in project management preferred.
- Knowledge in strategic procurement such as sourcing, RFI/RFQ, supplier qualifications and contract analysis.
- Comfortable to work cross functionally with various stakeholders.
- Communicate without ambiguity internally or externally.
- Good command of English (oral and written).
- You have a good command of SAP (purchase orders, etc.), MS Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI.
- Organized, rigorous, accurate and persevering.
- Honest with impeccable ethics.
