Working Group/community Manager

ETIS is a Brussels-based non-profit association driving collaboration within the European telecommunications industry. We currently have over 25 partners and 14 supporting parties, representing the industry in 21 European countries.
Our goal is to enable our Members to reach their strategic objectives and to improve their business performance by sharing knowledge on industry challenges and by collaborating where possible.
ETIS organizes physical meetings and webinars. These meetings provide a platform for experts to discuss hot topics and key issues as well as allows for information exchange and continual skills development.
**Main responsibilities**
- Community-building Grow participation and cultivate a sense of community in each assigned working group;
- Work with the core teams of these working groups (comprised of 3-4 telco participants) to create meeting agendas and working group deliverables such as webinars, working papers and/or benchmarks;
- Represent ETIS and make reports of outcomes and action points at the meetings and webinars.
- Lead and moderate webinars. In the absence of the chair of the working group, moderate the discussions during physical meetings;
- Logistical organisation of the meetings including working with member hosts, block-room booking at hotels and restaurants.
- Manage the section of the online community and administration related to these working groups.
Desired profile:
- Bachelor degree or higher.
- Minimum 3-5 years of full-time professional experience in working group and event management;
- Strong communication and community-building skills—ability to not only engage in outreach to attract participation, but manage the relationship with current members;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage the interests (and personalities) of multiple stakeholders;
- Detail-oriented, pro-active with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills;
- Ability to problem solve independently is key;
- Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines and targets;
- Flexible, team-player able to also work well independently.
- Proficient with all Microsoft programs and generally IT-savy a plus.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of the telecom industry is a plus
