**About the Community Manager and Event Planner Role**:
We are looking for an organised and dynamic professional to bring the community activities of Europe’s largest open innovation ecosystem to the next level and help design and organise large scale events according to the highest professional standards.
**Community Management**: Invigorate relationships between different stakeholders (like academia, startups, students, corporates, investors), manage the community platforms, narrate, and design the interaction points between community members, curate the discussions and offer feedback to internal teams.
**Event Management**: Organise and produce events from conception to completion with special attention to lead generation and post-event interactions.
We are looking for a ‘people person’ with great organisation skills and the ability to moderate online and offline conversations with our communities of stakeholders.
**Main Responsibilities**:
**Event planning**
- Event planning, design and production while managing all project deliveries against the given deadlines
- Liaise with all departments within EIT Digital to identify all needs and ensure alignment across teams
- Conduct market research, gather information and do benchmarking prior to closing any agreements with sponsors and vendors
- Liaise with vendors and potential sponsors, invitees and other 3rd parties
- Lead the weekly event meetings, provide feedback and periodic reports internally and to external stakeholders
- Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality
- Organize facilities and manage all event details such as design, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material, etc.
- Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations
- Specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities
- Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day

**Community Management**
- Develop and maintain the event calendar
- Plan and execute community initiatives and programmes
- Provide community feedback to the management and stakeholders
- Monitor and moderate discussions, exchanges, and user-generated content on the community platform, including reviewing posts, comments, and interactions to ensure compliance with community guidelines, promote constructive dialogue, and maintain a positive and inclusive environment)
- Promote and generate awareness about the different EIT Digital services to members: regular matchmaking events, trainings, bootcamps and workshops
- Maintain and manage the directory of companies and people in the ecosystem to help find relevant touch points for the stakeholders
- Moderate Groups on various social media channels
- Scope of work includes community management tasks of EIT Digital or its partners
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- A minimum of two years of experience as a community manager or three years of experience with organising events, preferably in technological companies
- Experience in both academic and innovation communities
- Excellent operational, time management and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders at the same time
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Aptitude in problem solving
- Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships
- MS Office proficiency
- Familiarity with HubSpot, CRM and project management tools
- Interest in the European innovation activities
- BSC in Business or Communications, International Relations or BA in Event Planning paired with in-house experience at a B2B company or large event organiser company
- Willingness to travel across Europe and EIT Digital offices as needed for the job
