Requisition ID: 10903- Location: BRUXELLES, BE, 1000Global Energy Management and sales (GEMS) is responsible for managing ENGIE's assets in continental Europe. The role of GEM is to ensure competitive energy for clients while optimizing value creation within a consistent risk framework. GEM teams negotiate ENGIE natural gas supply contracts, optimize the power plants, the energy purchase and sales contracts and provide clients with natural gas and electricity as well as energy price risk management services. GEM manages over all time horizons one of the largest and most diversified energy portfolios in Europe, including electricity, natural gas, coal, oil products, biomass, CO2 and environmental products, particularly through its trading activities and presence in Europe's energy marketplaces.

Within GEMS, 3PM team is looking for his next PowerPlant Portfolio Manager who could Provide a sound and digital power plant risk management from the long term horizon to the realized reconciliation in an ever-changing environment to internal and external clients

**Main activities**
- **Asset Representation**
- Model wind & solar, gas-fired, biomass-fired, nuclear, pump storage hydro and batteries in cooperation with Quants & Trading
- Show a realistic expected value of the future revenues of these power plants (including their flexibilities and constraints). How much profit margin do we expect? How much production volume and running hours do we expect?
- Quantify the uncertainties around this expected value and expected production.
- **Client advisory on risk management**
- Have a good view on the value and the risks
- Advise the clients on how to reduce those risks (and secure the expected market value).
- Design the risk mandate and define management intentions on the future hedging actions.
- Actively take part in the different client platforms with senior management of internal clients BU NUC, BU GEN, BU NECST and external 3d party clients like Onyx and Delesto
- **Hedge execution**
- Execute the hedging strategies that we agreed with our clients. For that, we enter into transactions with the Trading entities of the group.
- **Commodity Management**
- Manage the physical capacity and stock for the power plant’s commodities (gas flex and capacity, coal, biomass, fuels, hydro, certificates, FX)
- **Maintenance planning**
- We optimize the maintenance planning and communicate to TSO’s and REMIT.
- **P&L reporting**
- Report around the financial performance of the power plants in coordination with Finance and the other operational teams. We also report on the value changes of the clients’ power plants.
- **Studies**
- Conduct valuation and sensitivity studies on asset related products or initiatives (e.g. (dis)investments, flex increase, maintenance shifts, combining renewable with non-renewable assets)
- Support regulatory teams in strengthening lobby arguments through analysis and expertise

- clients (BU GEN, BU NUC, BU NECST, 3d parties)
