Accounting Manager

- As an Accounting Manager BENELUX, you will be part of the “General Accounting” team that is in charge of:
**TASKS**:

- Manage the General Ledger, including frequent and accurate Profit and Losses and Balance sheet analysis on accounts.
- Participation in monthly closing of the subsidiaries, such as the calculation of provisions and closing checks (intercompany balances, etc.). Keep Balance sheet accounts monitored.
- Identify and manage the implementation of procedural changes designed to improve internal controls, departmental efficiency and/or report quality. Cooperating with managers and key users of other departments.
- Staff, manage and develop direct and indirect reports, developing individual staff and organizational capability. One team member direct report.
- Manage payments reconciliation and prepare some payments (travel expenses, tax and Compensations)
- Handle the fixed assets of the entities in the North perimeter.
- Report accounting closings of the subsidiaries and preparation of the Reporting to Group (IFRS).
- Coordinate preparation of VAT returns (BE,NL,LU) and ensure VAT regulation compliance.
- Manage the external audit and other controls, ensuring all necessary reconciliations prepared upon arrival of the auditors, and providing needed schedules and documents for audit and tax purposes. One audited company perimeter within an Audited Group.

**MUST HAVE skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or economics.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in financial audit is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and SAP.
- Fluent English, Dutch and French.
- Good communication skills.
- Organized and result oriented professional.
- Ability to work proactively.
- Strong team-working and cooperating skills, able to work independently.
- Ability to adapt him/herself to work in a fast-paced environment.

**NICE TO HAVE skills**:

- Spanish language skills.
- Corporate Income Tax Calulation knowledgge.

- Group Finance Department is composed by 195 finance professionals based around Europe (Paris, Barcelona, Milan, Brussels, Dusseldorf...). We are a diverse and international team lead by our CFO and the members of the Finance Executive (Directors of Treasury, Payments & Fraud, Tax, Business Procedures, Accounting and Accounts Payables).
- The Accounting Manager we are looking for will be part of the Accounting Team, reporting to Head of General Accounting South and BENELUX, under Head of Group Accounting.
- General Accounting South and BENELUX is an international team of 10 members.
- The Purpose of the Accounting Manager is to be the representative for Accounting on BENELUX perimeter. Ensure Veepee Northern Europe and VP.COM Belgium Branch are compliance with local specificities, at the same time as englobed and actively participating on the Group Finance Environment.
