**Jouw uitdaging**:
Momenteel zijn we op zoek naar een tijdelijke environmental expert met focus op water(bodem) kwaliteit voor minimum 6 maanden.
Als environmental expert maak je deel uit van het team environmental services van Port of Antwerp-Bruges. Dit team zorgt ervoor dat het Havenbedrijf wettelijk in orde is met haar activiteiten, functioneert als kenniscentrum over het milieu in de haven en voert projecten uit om de milieukwaliteit in de haven te verbeteren.
Als expert werk je zowel in team als autonoom aan kennisopbouw en projecten binnen een of meerdere domeinen (lucht, water, bodem, natuur,). Ook werk je nauw samen met collega’s uit andere beleidsvormende of operationele diensten van POAB en met bedrijven en organisaties in binnen
- en buitenland. Afhankelijk van de projecten kan dit een grote variatie brengen in de werkrelaties.
In je rol van environmental specialist:
- Informeer en adviseer je de organisatie op een synthetische wijze omtrent de milieutoestand van het havengebied inzake water(bodem)kwaliteit.
- Heb je contact met de bevoegde administraties om kennis uit te wisselen omtrent de waterkwaliteit en waterbodem en om gezamenlijke acties uit te werken die de kennis hierover nog verbeteren.
- Laat je onderzoeken uitvoeren om causale relaties te kunnen detecteren zodat de organisatie desgevallend actie kan ondernemen om de milieudruk inzake water(bodem)kwaliteit te verminderen of weg te nemen.
- Leid je je eigen projecten en/of neem je deel aan projecten die het bereiken van natuurdoelstellingen beogen.
- Bezit en/of ontwikkel je voldoende kennis in het domein waterkwaliteit/waterbodem en ontwikkel je daarnaast ook een brede visie op andere domeinen om als back-up te kunnen fungeren van je collega’s.
- Maak je gebruik van bestaande werkinstructies en procedures om relevante parameters te monitoren, erover te rapporteren en de wettelijke conformiteit te garanderen.
- Werk je mee aan acties in het kader van de waterstrategie van het Havenbedrijf
**Jouw profiel**:
- Je behaalde een bachelor diploma (of je studeert binnenkort af) of je bent gelijkwaardig door relevante ervaring
- Je beschikt over_ _kennis van het Europees en Vlaams milieurecht inzake water(bodem) kwaliteit of je bent bereid om je daarin snel te verdiepen
- Je bent leergierig en je neemt jouw eigen ontwikkeling in handen
- Je bent analytisch sterk, je vindt het fijn om met data te werken en om rapportages op te maken
- Jouw sterktes? Je bent communicatief, je houdt van de nodige afwisseling en je bent een goede organisator
