Rombit Group is looking for a Financial Controller with a passion for innovation, technology & digitization. By (co-)creating **innovative and sustainable digital products**, we help our clients to create value and make their organization safe, efficient, sustainable and futureproof.
The Rombit Group is growing in 3 main businesses and expanding rapidly with both organic products (own products and services) and with acquisitions. Consequently, we are looking to strengthen our central finance function with a financial controller to act as the financial pivot for further growth.
- As financial controller, you take the lead in
- **bridging the financial flows that run in the 3 separate companies** with our external accounting team on the one hand and with management on the other. You are hands-on for operational tasks and concerned with accountancy work in order to prepare financial insight. A minimum of 3 to 5 years professional experience would be desirable. You will be part of a young, dynamic and ambitious team and will be in close contact with the operations.
**Your responsibilities**:
- As the primary **interface**, you liaise with both the accounts payable colleagues and the (external) accounting team in order to coordinate the **monthly closing process**:
- You are responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly accounts (P&L, Balance sheet and cash flow statement) and the **monthly management report**:
- You prepare and deliver the **weekly net debt report** and keep a close eye on cash flow development in cooperation with the A/R (credit) manager
- You are a key contributor to the **reporting set** that we prepare for the Board of Directors
- You are ensuring that some key procedures are adhered to and that controls are functioning properly while the company continues growing; you are involved from the start of new projects and help to lay the foundation towards a **future-proof controlling environment**:
- You are involved in the preparation of annual **budgets**, in the alienation of the budgets with our ‘5 year business plan’ (strategic plan) and with forecasting
- Your detailed and accurate **forecasting** on the short and the midterm will contribute to the company’s success
- Adhoc financial and operational analysis
- Building & analysis of **investment and acquisition cases**:
- You are the (future) **IFRS beacon** for the accounting team and provide hands-on feedback on how to deal with more technical journal entries
**Your skillset**:
- Master degree in Economics (Accountancy/Audit)
- 3-5 years proven track record within an audit environment and with multi-cultural and medium to large company and reporting structures or equivalent relevant experience within the finance department
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- IT (systems) minded, stress resistant, organised and self-starter
- Affinity with industry (technology, digitization, IT based projects, safety) is an advantage
- Experience in Finance Controlling is an asset, but not a requirement
- Native Dutch | English speaking & writing skills preferably combined with basic expression skills in French.
- Minimal IFRS knowledge is recommendable
- COSO and or internal control framework experience (3 levels of defense mechanism)
