The Out of Home (on trade) business excels thanks to very strong brands, strong marketing support and an experienced sales team. Our OOH business consist of 25% ice cream, 70% beverages and 5% foods. The brands we have in our portfolio are Lipton Ice Tea, Ola, Ben & Jerry’s, Zwan, etc. We hold a market leader position in most markets in which we operate.
**Business context and main purpose of the job**:
Unilever is looking to recruit a National Field Sales Manager On-trade, reporting to the Head OOH Belux and operating within the OOH team as direct SPOC for the OOH Leads of the respective Ice cream, Beverages, Digital and KAM team.
The field department is divided in 11 sectors, each led by 1 District Manager and supported by one or two Panama Sales Representatives. The team covers the commercial objectives for the business unites Ice Cream, Beverages (Lipton Ice Tea) & in a smaller scope Foods (Zwan and Cup A Soup). The daily mission of the Field team is to build the distribution of the Lipton Ice Tea Portfolio by hunting new clients & upscaling existing clients while securing loyalty with our key customers and building the distribution and perfect execution of our IC portfolio to prepare for a perfect Season & deseasonalize the category by securing FY availability of the relevant assortment.
As Field Manager, your role is to build and brief the relevant priorities to the Field Team and external partners and to manage and track their performance on all relevant pillars based on clear defined and briefed KPIS and adjust where necessary. Besides this it is important to identify, facilitate and develop the ways of working of the total team (& 3th party) in line with the ever-changing market.
**Main Accountabilities**:
- ** Field strategy & implementation planning**: You will build the field strategic priorities based on clear defined KPI’s & implementation of the quarterly planning in close collaboration with the respective OOH Leads Ice cream, Beverages, Digital & KAM team and internal + 3th parties stakeholders. You are in charge of hosting the monthly DM field meetings & presentation of the quarterly field update in the CDLT forum (= BE Leadership team). You monitor & keep the team up-to-date of the performances and have weekly calls & planned physical visitis with the DM’s to adjust & (de)brief were necessary to track their progress towards the defined objectives & KPI’s.
- ** Internal Field **SPOC**: You are the SPOC concerning Field for the respective OOH Leads Ice cream, Beverages, Digital & KAM team and internal + 3th parties stakeholders, with whom you co-create the sales plans & respective field KPI’s in order to steer the plan towards success.
- ** Performance management**: You manage the performance of the 11 District Managers on the growth pillars of the field: Distribution, Hunting, Optimal Assortment, Promo, Perfect POSM execution, Cabinet tracking,You elaborate realistic but ambitious targets & KPI’s for the sector teams, follow the evolution, and share the best practices across sectors. Together with the internal stakeholders and DM’s, you build corrective plans if needed. To support you in this analysis and priorities, you will closely collaborate with the Digital team.
- ** Team development**: You facilitate the ways of working of the sector teams and the total team to help them learn and grow. You help the team to reach their ambitions together with their Sales reps and customers. You facilitate the connection with the internal stakeholders. Together with the rest of the team, you help in the elaboration of efficient tools for an efficient way-of-working instore. _(Talent catalyst and people development (direct and indirect))_
- ** Incentive program**: You develop and organize the incentive program towards our Field to maximize performance.
- ** Data & Tooling**: You lead the data reporting & analysis of the field KPI’s in close collaboration with the Digital OOH team in order to assure that targets & progress vs targets for the team is tangible/measurable to guarantee a clear follow-up of all priorities. You are middleman and support for changes linked to all set priorities (promo, cotc, inno..) on the different KPI’s to be sure that performance management and target setting are optimal implemented.
