In your capacity as **Claims Specialist**, you’re responsible for managing complex claims for corporate clients. The focus is on technical, property and liability insurance lines.
A claims specialist sometimes assists the client on site, analyzes complex claims, determines liability, follows up on the evaluation of damages. You introduce the claims data into our system, and maintain the follow up with clients, insurers, third parties, lawyers and surveyors. You optimally defend and promote the **interests of our clients**, both on the internal level and externally with our partners-insurers. For this purpose, you keep close track of the conventions and agreements in place.
**Client-oriented management **and **rigorous follow-up** of claims files are second nature for you.

You manage from A to Z the files that form part of your client portfolio, i.e.:
- You enter the claims data into our system
- You make sure to systematically update and supplement the digitalized claims files
- You are in contact with our clients on a daily basis and deal with their claims related insurance questions, dare to clearly tell the customer what is covered or not, propose alternatives and manage expectations
- You have frequent contacts with all parties involved in the claim
- Report structurally to your manager (both in terms of content and speed) on the quality of the collaboration with the insurers
- You actively defend the interest of the clients, amongst other discussions regarding responsibility, indemnity,...
- Think about how to develop our processes more effectively. Report problems and suggestions and solutions to the manager.
As a good communicator, you respond quickly and enthusiastically to the technical production questions of our clients, your colleagues and the Account Managers; you also actively seek the right solutions.
**The Requirements**
- **Training**: At least a Bachelor degree
- **Experience**: minimum 3 years of experience in handling similar claims is recommended
- **Language knowledge**: native language Dutch or French, and a very good knowledge of French/Dutch and English
- **Open-minded**: You have a mind that is open to change, and you regard the possibility of working temporarily in our other offices of Liège, Hasselt and Kortrijk as an opportunity. Teleworking also allows you not to always have to travel physically.
**Other skills**: You are an excellent negotiator. You are proactive and eager to satisfy the client. Moreover, you like working on a team, you have a sense of detail and you demonstrate organization and structure in your work.
