The world is shifting digital - and that shift is only accelerating, with tokenization being the foundation of it all. In the Digital and Acceptance Solutions team, you will be at the heart of how we are looking to shape the future for our company leveraging our suite of digital solutions. Much of our focus in on eCommerce bring the key battlefield in Europe as it will drive close to 50% of future revenues. At the same time, competition is becoming stronger through the continuous development of digital wallets as well as the progression of ACH based solutions triggered by the new regulation.
As a key part of this, successfully deploying tokenization for Remote Commerce programs* at scale and with speed is the most important (“failure is not an option”) digital payments’ objective for Mastercard Europe for the next 3 to 5 years.
In this role, you will play a key cross-functional team role focused on harmonizing our digital product pillars with a particular focus on authentication and liability shift, being the conduit between Digital solutions and the relevant C&I teams developing authentication solutions.
You will also be responsible for managing Delegated Authentication and the Mastercard Token Assurance Framework for remote commerce transactions.
In addition, you will also be responsible for supporting the head of Digital and Acceptance Innovations with a number of cross-functional activities such as the development of product strategy content for executive briefings and budget tracking.

Role
This position reports to the VP, Head of Digital and Acceptance Innovations, within the Merchant Solutions Europe team.
In more details, the responsibility includes the following activities for Delegated Authentication and the new Token Assurance Framework for remote commerce transactions:
- Being European single point of coordination for Delegated Authentication and the New Token Assurance Framework
- Interfacing with global and regional teams to drive the product and market alignment to ensure the adoption within EU customer base is met.
- Working with Franchise and Legal elements of the product
- Interfacing with Global team on the new Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) program, ensure adoption within EU customer base is met
- Providing SME support to product teams working on remote commerce solutions utilizing Multi-Factor Authentication
- Working on internal and external evangelization of benefits/value prop in collaboration with the commercialization team
- Technical ownership of issuer and acquirer announcements
- Supporting the organization of issuer and acquirer forums to make sure all key points of the Delegated Authentication are understood and supported across all European markets
- Monitoring of performance and key KPIs, focusing on working with partners who underperform
- Preparing European internal guides, FAQs and tools for sales and technical teams
The responsibility will also lead specific product related activities that are transversal across the Digital and Acceptance Innovation team such as:
- The development of product strategy related contents for executive level briefings for digital solutions including Click to Pay and Secure Card on File
- Digital budget & finance tracking for the Digital & Acceptance solutions team
- Any other digital product aspect requiring a centralized approach
The role will have some people management responsibility.
All About You
You have:
- Truly excellent oral and written communication skills
- Great product management or product ownership experience in the payment industry, having already brought successfully new products or solutions in the market. Strong experience in Digital Payments and Authentication solutions will be a very strong asset and differentiator
- A suitable technical education, with an appropriate Master’s degree and suitable professional qualifications preferred. Ideally experience of bringing significant major new products to market
- Technical competence in the area of payment products, mobile payments, e
- Experience of working effectively and driving product development in both an agile and a traditional ‘waterfall’ environment
- Understanding of merchants, payment service providers, acquirers, digital wallet providers, processors and issuers, and cognizance of their main drivers and challenges
- Understanding and experience of European regulation, including PSD2 and GDPR.
