**About the role**
The Operational Scheduler establishes and maintains an up-to date a detailed plan for Manufacturing Unit-related activities. In this role you’d be responsible to develop different production scenarios (run rate increase, process changes, ramp-up, shift model adaptation etc.) as well as improving the scheduling tool.
**Your key responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide a feasible plan to the shop floor in terms of materials and capacity availability;
- Establish optimized sequence of orders within the Planning Time Fence and keep it up to date, based on rules agreed by manufacturing, Quality and other support functions and in accordance with Customer requirements;
- Ensure the detailed planning of all operational activities in his unit by integrating production operations, activities related to process validation or equipment cleaning, quality control, qualification and / or requalification of equipment and all technical operations carried out in production areas;
- Ensure the continuous update and regular communication of the schedule as and when operations are carried out and ensure adherence to the production schedule;
- Responsible for the maintenance and the quality of the scheduling master data, including reporting;
- Analyze the causes of non-compliance with the production schedule (delays or ahead) and implement the appropriate corrective actions;
- Verify material and documentation availability and release orders to production;
- Continually seek to improve the efficiency of its work and to simplify current process. In particular, regularly optimize and simplify the production schedule to improve efficiency and management;
- Promote and improve the Quality and HSE culture;
- Participate to the analysis/simulations of human resources, material and technical needs to ensure the proper execution of the production plan in the mid/long term range (ramp-up, run rate increase etc).

**Role Requirements**
**What you’ll bring to the role**:
- Scientific / Engineering / Economics degree;
- Previous similar experience in a manufacturing / supply chain environment within the pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical or food industry;
- Experience in scheduling of complex activities;
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
Work Location: Puurs (Belgium).
