As manager of the infrastructure department, you determine the vision and strategic plan in consultation with the Group ICT Director to optimally service the business. You analyse the needs of the organization and translate these into infrastructure architecture, roadmap and projects.
As a generalist with broad knowledge and business interest, you give direction to new IT developments and innovations inside the organisation. In function of this, you help to define the policy and the long-term vision. You pose clear priorities and direct your department of professionals in a proactive, structured and project-based manner.
As a people manager you are also responsible for coaching the team. You set up a powerful department that is customer-oriented and that starts from an IT business partnering attitude. You make choices; buy or build, insourcing, outsourcing. You help determine the vendor selection, purchase of ICT goods and external services.
You manage the ICT budgets for infrastructure (incl. leasing, maintenance contracts, management of licenses etc.). You maintain relationships and communication with all key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
You implement best practices in terms of work processes and methodology. You manage ICT delivery and support throughout the entire organization, and you guarantee the further development of the ICT service, aligned with the global IT strategy. You drive optimizations as well as innovations in the daily business.
Profiel
- You obtained a higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience.
- You have experience in designing, implementing and supporting a centralized infrastructure environment of a similar scale to the Ardo environment.
- You have work experience with a wide range of infrastructure technology, such as server management, virtualization, security, networking, storage, high availability, connectivity.
- You have experience in managing and coordinating infrastructure projects and always strive for pragmatic and business-oriented solutions.
- You have a broad technical knowledge and interest and as a leader you can act both strategically and on an operational level. You like to face technical challenges; you are a sparring partner in your team and able to communicate in an understandable way even to non-experts.
- You are flexible, you can realistically estimate what is urgent and/or important and you are decisive. You communicate in a smooth and open manner.
- You have a good conceptual knowledge of important ICT market trends, technologies, solutions and can critically evaluate or pro-actively propose new opportunities. You design the architecture of the IT infrastructure for the coming years and plan the projects that should come out of it.
- You have a high degree of energy and motivation and can also translate this in a positive way to the team and the organization. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment in a down-to-earth atmosphere.
- Language skills: knowledge of English is a must; knowledge of Dutch and French is an asset.
- You are willing to travel for short trips within Europe.

- Gegevensdragers opstellen voor informatiedoorstroming of opleiding en deze doorgeven aan de betrokken personen
- Overgaan tot het uitvoeren van functionele en technische verbeteringen
De applicatie uitrollen (parametrering, opvolging,...)
- De technische, economische,informatie en de reglementering opvolgen en actualiseren
- Gebruikers begeleiden of opleiden over de nieuwe vakprocessen en toepassingen
- De realisatie van projecten superviseren en coördineren
- Functionele tests van de ontwikkelde toepassingen uitvoeren en opvolgen
