Our community of freelancers is the heart of Malt. Today, the Malt community counts over 10,000 freelancers in Belgium and the community team ensures its continuous growth.

As Head of Freelance Community Belgium, you will develop and execute strategies to grow the number of talented freelancers, ensure and launch targeted acquisition projects, and oversee daily activities across Sales, Marketing and Operations. You will mentor a team of Community and Sourcing pros to deliver the best experience to our freelancers community and customers.

You will join our Brussels office and will report directly to our Country Manager and the Global Head of Freelancing.

**Key responsibilities ✨**:

- Manage the Community and Sourcing team in Belgium: set priorities, ensure plan execution, implement efficient processes, recruit and manage community and sourcing managers
- Champion the needs and requirements of the Belgian freelancers to the global Product, Marketing and Operations teams
- Grow the community of freelancers in Belgium and actively promote Malt’s community with local partners (alumni networks, coworking spaces, tech communities, meetups and influencers) and co-build content and events to raise awareness of the freelancing opportunities at Malt
- Leverage existing methods, advocacy programs (Malt Linker, Malt Academy, Referral Program), and content produced with our communication/marketing team (Malt Tech Trends, Freelancer Study) to attract and retain new freelance community members
- Be the voice of customers and freelancers to improve Malt's product and services
- Train on the different freelance professions and client needs to prioritize sourcing and train all sales people on best practices
- Ensuring that the team meet and onboard new freelancers, give them an amazing experience and the best tools and advices to connect to Malt clients

**About you ‍**:

- Fluent in English with a very good command of Dutch or French
- 10+ years experience in Business Operations, Consultancy, Sales, Marketing, Project Management, or other business functions focused on growing and developing a community
- Strong project management and people management skills: ability to empower your team, you know how to adapt your management style to the person and situation
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to convince/sell/persuade. This is not a typical “sales management” role, but to succeed you need to be good at bringing people onboard, pitching Malt, and establishing successful relationships with a wide variety of people
- Ability to stay serene in a fast-changing environment, to deal with uncertainty, and to enjoy meeting a challenge and getting out of your comfort zone
- Affinity with numbers, data driven, process and results-oriented
