ClientEarth’s teams across the world use the law to create powerful change and a future where people and planet thrive together. Communications plays a key role in this work. We use a strategic approach to communications to influence decision-making and drive behaviour change.
This role will create and execute hard-hitting, strategic communications interventions to enhance the impact of some of our highest profile and most innovative legal work. It will combine a global outlook on our work with specific knowledge and expertise on the key audiences we need to reach in Brussels. This role will plan and implement outcome-focused communications that help deliver our organisational and impact objectives.
**Meet your Manager**
Diane Vandesmet has been with ClientEarth for six years and is based in our Brussels office.
Before joining ClientEarth, Diane worked as a broadcast journalist and communications specialist in Beijing, Brussels and Paris. She holds a Master's degree in European Politics from Science Po Grenoble.
Main Duties
- **Strategic communications and media work - **Work with the Communications Manager, and other colleagues to build and deliver communications strategies, including projects and campaigns, that maximise the impact of our legal work.
- **Relationship management** - **Develop relationships to match the strategic needs of our work, including with journalists, partner organisations

Role requirements
- Fluent (**CEFR level C2**) in English
- Fluent (**CEFR level C2**) in another European language
- Knowledge of the workings of key political and financial systems in the Brussels context.
- Experience of working with national and international media to land stories and organisational messages
