Tasks

In order to ensure further growth of the Sustainability Consulting department, we are currently looking for a Consultant, Global Sustainability Impact for the EMEA region.

As the Consultant, Global Sustainability Impact, you will help develop business opportunities for and lead delivery of sustainability impact consulting work in NSF’s Sustainability Consulting unit. At NSF, impact is a combination of strategy, measurement and reporting; this role aids clients’ evolution as ESG leaders through the prioritization, design, and measurement of ESG efforts for their own operations and their supply chains.

A key focus of this job is to measure, collect and analyze clients’ supply chain impacts via NSF’s TraQtion software system. Software improvement cycles follow agile project management methodology, and requires close coordination between clients, their key supply chain partners, and NSF’s software development team.

Key Accountabilities
- Project and Client Development: Identify, develop, and convert opportunities for new clients and client engagements with NSF sustainability consulting services.
- Client Relationships: Nurture client relationships through responsive communications, high-quality on-time deliverables, impactful presentations, and professional demeanor.
- Project Design: Work with our internal team to ensure that sales proposals and project design are of high quality and efficiency.
- Project Management: Ensure that client projects are maintained on-time and on-budget. This is a very important part of this role. Ability to work on multiple projects at once while keeping details and communications organized and updated is essential.
- Meetings: Schedule client meetings with alacrity; set agendas for and lead relevant client meetings, noting outcomes and action items.
- Deliverables: Through duties below and as otherwise required by unique client needs, construct and present key client deliverables to fulfill contractual obligations.
- Data Collection: Through questionnaires, client meetings, TraQtion or other means, ensure that all relevant data is collected to generate accurate sustainability data.
- Data Modeling: Work with clients and internal team to optimize and modernize modeling techniques to address project needs, unique challenges and/or industry-level needs.
- Information Presentation: Generate or create written reports and presentations to reflect key outcomes and insights from project work.
- Thought Leadership: Acting as an internal and external Impact SME through written materials (i.e. articles) and representation of NSF at conferences (workshops, etc.).
- Tools and Efficiencies: Contribute to improving unit profitability by building or improving tools and IP that deliver on consistent workstreams.
- Internal Relationships and Systems: Participate in building a sense of team, accountability, and accomplishment by engaging in team meetings and cross-sector initiatives at NSF.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (i.e. Sustainability, Environmental Studies, etc.)
- 5-10 years of project management experience on dynamic (preferably global) projects
- 3 years of experience collecting and analyzing sustainability metrics and data
- Knowledgeable about sustainability considerations related to agriculture, food manufacturing, and/or supplements and cosmetics sectors
- Demonstrated experience measuring and tracking varied sustainability data baselines
- Experienced with aspects of sustainability reporting, including CDP and GRI
- Ability to distill large amounts of information into concise technical findings, using exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Proven experience simultaneously managing project workflows, multiple priorities, deadlines, and client relationships
- Able to recognize limitations in skills and ability to deliver
- Speaks English and French and/or Spanish (two languages total) at native or advanced level
- Actively models NSF core values including respect, ethics, integrity, creativity, excellence
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a remote team environment across multiple geographies and senior
