**1 - Werken bij de VUB**:
De **Vrije Universiteit Brussel** (VUB) staat al meer dan 50 jaar voor vrijheid, gelijk(waardig)heid en verbondenheid en dat leeft sterk op onze campussen bij zowel studenten als personeel. De **Brussels School of Governance** (BSoG) aan de VUB voert **interdisciplinair onderzoek** uit, biedt **volledig geaccrediteerde hoger onderwijsprogramma's** aan en levert een brede waaier aan academische diensten in verschillende beleidsrelevante domeinen, waaronder energie & milieu, veiligheid & diplomatie, migratie & diversiteit, en digitalisering & democratie. De School is een alliantie tussen het **Institute for European Studies** (IES), dat een jarenlange reputatie heeft op het gebied van postdoctoraal onderwijs en onderzoek, en het **Vesalius College**, dat een uitgebreid aanbod van bachelor en master opleidingen heeft.
**2 - Functiebeschrijving**:
Als Teaching and Learning (T&L) Technologist aan de Brussels School of Governance (BSoG) van de Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), maak je deel uit van het Online Teaching and Learning Innovation (OTLI) team en het bredere administratieve team van de School dat bestaat uit 20 enthousiaste collega's. Je werkt onder supervisie van de vicedecaan onderwijs en het hoofd secretariaat.
De T&L Technologist werkt samen met het personeel en studenten door technische ondersteuning te bieden en ervoor te zorgen dat er optimaal gebruik kan worden gemaakt van technologie om het leren van studenten te verbeteren. De T&L-technoloog helpt bij het faciliteren van de ontwikkeling van cursusmateriaal voor de verschillende onderwijs
- en onderzoeksentiteiten van de school.
Een greep uit je takenpakket als Teaching and Learning Technologist:
- Bijdragen aan de **ontwikkeling en technische implementatie** van de studentendatabase (Campus Solutions);
- Bewaken en **finetunen van de functionaliteiten **van de studentendatabase zodat deze optimaal voor verschillende doeleinden kan worden ingezet;
- **Integratie van content** op de verschillende platformen en databanken (Canvas, CICS, Cali), en ervoor zorgen dat de kwaliteit en actualiteit gerespecteerd worden;
- **Technische ondersteuning bieden voor zowel contentontwikkelaars als studenten** en eventuele vraagstukken oplossen met betrekking tot registraties, beoordeling, examens, gegevensexport, enz.;
- Samenwerken met het onderwijzend personeel van de School om **online cursussen verder te ontwikkelen en te verbeteren**;
- Verspreiden van relevante informatie voor het personeel en de studenten van de School over het gebruik van **online/hybride onderwijs** door het geven van trainingssessies, het ontwikkelen van tutorials, richtlijnen, enz.;
- **Technische ondersteuning** bieden bij het opzetten van online activiteiten in het kader van extern gefinancierde projecten (bijvoorbeeld opzetten van MOOC's).
Voor deze functie zal Brussels Humanities, Sciences & Engineering Campus (Elsene) je thuisbasis worden.
**3 - Profiel**:
Wat verwachten wij van jou?
- Je hebt een **bachelordiploma** in een van de volgende richtingen: onderwijs, communicatie, informatica & computertechnologie, pedagogische wetenschappen, sociale wetenschappen;
- Je hebt bij voorkeur professionele ervaring in een **academische en/of internationale omgeving**;
- Je bent vlot in het **Engels**;
- Kennis van het **Nederlands** is een plus;
- Je hebt ervaring met het werken met **e-learning tools **(Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, Connect of andere);
- **Audio-videosoftware vaardigheden** worden als een troef beschouwd (iMovie, Final Cut, Audition);
- Je beschikt over uitstekende **organisatorische** **en communicatieve vaardigheden**;
- Je hebt een **probleemoplossende houding** en kunt daarbij out of the box denken;
- Je kunt zowel **zelfstandig** als in **teamverband** werken;
- Kandidaten moeten kennis hebben van t**echnische website-aspecten** en bereid zijn om snel** nieuwe IT-vaardigheden** te ontwikkelen.
- Je handelt vanuit de codes van **integriteit**, **zorgvuldigheid**, **objectiviteit**, **gelijke behandeling**, **correctheid** en **transparantie**.
