**JOB PURPOSE**

We are looking for a Communication Intern reporting directly to the Professional IT Communication & Engagement in the IT department. This is a EMEA role, based in Zaventem.

You will be managing IT department events and the IT Intranet for the EMEA and West regions, overseeing governance communication channels, and participating in the planning and implementation of Headquarters wellbeing events. You will also be maintaining the IT branding, ensuring effective information dissemination, and creating engaging content for various platforms.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Event Management**: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of various IT department events. This includes scheduling, venue selection, technical setup, and post-event analysis.**
- **IT Intranet (EMEA & West)**: Manage both the content and layout of the IT Intranet for the EMEA and West regions. This includes updating relevant information, ensuring user-friendly navigation, and maintaining a consistent and professional appearance.
- **Governance Communication Channels**: Oversee the communication channels used for governance within the IT department. Ensure that information is disseminated effectively and that all relevant parties are kept informed of governance-related updates.
- **HQ Wellbeing Events**: Participate in the planning and implementation of wellbeing events. This includes brainstorming and coordinating activities, creating engaging content, and managing event logistics.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- **Education**: Communication, Public Relations, Journalism studies, or a related field is typically required. A Master’s degree or other certifications in these fields can be advantageous.
- **Language Skills**: Proficiency in the organization’s primary language is essential (English). Knowledge of additional languages can be a significant asset.
- **Soft Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Other important soft skills include problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills.
