The Cybersecurity Strategist will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive information security strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives. This includes identifying, assessing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks to the company's digital and physical assets.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and cybersecurity practices, particularly within the insurance industry. They will oversee data protection policies, protocols, and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable national and international cybersecurity regulations, including GDPR and NIS2 Directive.
This role requires strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments. The Cybersecurity Strategist will lead risk assessments, develop incident response and disaster recovery plans, and implement advanced security technologies to safeguard sensitive insurance data.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with the organization's business goals and regulatory requirements.
2. Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks to the company's digital and physical assets.
3. Oversee data protection policies, protocols, and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable national and international cybersecurity regulations.
4. Lead risk assessments and develop incident response and disaster recovery plans.
5. Implement advanced security technologies to safeguard sensitive insurance data and ensure secure customer transactions.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
2. Experience: At least 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a minimum of 5 years as a CISO or in a senior leadership role. Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is strongly preferred.
3. Knowledge & Skills: In-depth understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management methodologies, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with cloud security, endpoint security, and emerging technologies such as AI/ML in cybersecurity.
