About the JobWe are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a R&D Food Product Consultant. As a member of our R&D team, you will play a crucial role in supporting us and our customers in New Product Development (NPD) projects.
- You will receive intensive training on the job from our experienced staff, broadening your knowledge on ingredients, different food product types, technology, and the market based on literature, fairs, meetings with suppliers, training, etc.
- You will perform lab-scale prototyping tests to create samples and new products.
- You will conduct analyses on food products: pH, Brix, acidity, etc.
- You will be actively involved in NPD projects, responsible for product specification definition, from pilot testing to industrial validation (upscaling).
- You may be positioned as an R&D or Product Development freelancer at one of our customer's sites for a temporary period, performing tasks specifically required by the customer.
- You will organize and be a fixed member of our internal taste panel.
To succeed in this role, we seek candidates with:
- A Bachelor or Master degree, preferably related to food but adjacent profiles are also possible (e.g., Chemistry, Bio-chemistry, Pharmacy, etc.).
- Prior experience (2-3 years) in food product development.
- A strong interest in developing food products.
- An entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on approach, and ability to work independently.
- An openness to continuous learning on the job from colleagues.
- Good project management skills.
- Fluency in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
