As a Back-End Developer, you will be part of our Technology organization, which is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the robust back-end infrastructure of our cutting-edge AdTech platform. Our technology stack includes Java, Spring, and Kubernetes. We are seeking several experienced software engineers to join our team in Ghent and contribute to the growth of our platform.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain the back-end architecture of our platform, delivering high performance, maintainable, scalable, and reliable code.
- Optimize database structures and queries for efficient data storage and retrieval. Work with large datasets and implement performant data storage solutions.
- Implement performance optimization techniques to ensure optimal platform speed and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Technology, Product and Support domains to exchange knowledge, share interpretation of requirements, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect against data breaches and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Stay informed about the latest security threats and technologies to proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code, and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards. Collaborate with QA (Automation) Engineers to conduct thorough testing of back-end components.
Requirements
- Proficiency in the full Java spec, writing performant SQL/ORM mappings and Spring is required.
- Familiar with general security, testing best practices, system monitoring, performance tuning.
- Analytical & innovative mindset, creative as well as rigorous with an eye for detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and drive for continuous improvement & learning.
- Excellent communication skills in English and ideally in Dutch.
- Team player who derives satisfaction from working closely with others.
- Understanding of different cultural backgrounds and experience in working with remote teams.
