Satellite Communications
Tusk IC is also developing its own product for satellite communications, which is a crucial component of our mmWave portfolio.
Job Description
Position Summary
As a Senior RF/mmWave ASIC designer, you will play a key role in strengthening and complementing our existing team of designers. Your focus will be on satcom product development, helping with chip definition, block and top-level design, and thorough design review.
You will also work on R&D and implementation of state-of-the-art ASICs for the next generation of mmWave products, including feasibility studies, design, layout, simulation, package design, and measurement.
Your Responsibilities and Challenges
- Spec definition and system-level design of RF/mmWave modules and components
- Circuit design, layout, and verification of RF/mmWave building blocks
- 2D and 3D EM simulations for interconnect, passives, and packages
- Assist in measurement preparations
- Clear and concise reporting and interaction with customers
- Come up with creative solutions to new problems
Required Skills and Qualifications
Your Profile
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- BSc (Hons) or higher degree in electrical engineering with a focus on analog, RF, and mmWave ASIC design
- 5+ years of transistor-level RF/mmWave IC design experience in advanced CMOS, SOI, and/or SiGe
- Experience with design for production (PVT variation, electromigration, aging, DFM) and full design cycle: specs to measured silicon
- Knowledge and experience with leading IC design tools: Cadence, ADS, Synopsys, or Mentor
- Experience in transistor-level layout extraction and verification (PEX), DRC, and LVS
- Electromagnetic modeling of high-frequency circuits and relevant EDA tools
- Extensive lab experience
- Proficient in a scientific scripting or programming language (e.g., Matlab, Python)
- Eager to learn and willing to adopt new tools and design techniques
- Clear communication skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
