Job Description
We are looking for an IT Support Officer to strengthen our ICT service desk team in Zaventem. The successful candidate will provide technical support to end-users, resolving software, hardware, network, and printer-related issues. They will be responsible for delivering first- and second-line support in various formats, including in-person, phone, and remote support. Additionally, they will set up and configure PCs, manage user accounts and access permissions, maintain IT asset inventory, and oversee software licensing. This role also involves creating support materials, collaborating with external vendors, organizing IT training sessions, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with security and governance policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first- and second-line technical support to end-users.
- Resolve software, hardware, network, and printer-related issues.
- Provide support in person, by phone, or remotely.
- Set up and configure PCs, user accounts, and access permissions.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and manage software licenses.
- Create support materials and user guides.
- Collaborate with external vendors for repairs and maintenance.
- Organize IT training sessions for staff.
- Generate reports on support requests and system performance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a background in customer support, proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications, basic understanding of networking and telecommunications, solid knowledge of PC hardware, and the ability to support mobile devices (iOS, Android). You should be able to explain technical solutions to non-technical users, possess strong communication skills in English, and have knowledge of French and Dutch. A collaborative team player who works well with colleagues across departments, you should be service-oriented, with strong troubleshooting abilities, motivated, creative, adaptable, and able to handle stress effectively.
