ASIC Project Manager - ASIC Circuit Design / ASIC Test / ASIC Packaging Assembly
Location: Belgium, Leuven - flexible hybrid work
Type: Freelance
We are looking for an experienced ASIC Project Manager to lead complex semiconductor development projects from initial concept through to silicon delivery. You would be coming in to lead a new product department focused on multiple projects including some exciting AI related projects due to an increase in demand for business in AI infrastructure. You'll work closely with cross-functional engineering teams across ASIC design, verification, architecture, physical design and manufacturing, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage ASIC development projects from specification through to tape-out and silicon validation
Own project schedules, milestones, budgets, risks and dependencies
Coordinate teams across RTL design, verification, physical design, DFT, validation and hardware
Manage project priorities and communicate progress to senior stakeholders
Identify and mitigate technical, resource and delivery risks
Work closely with internal engineering teams and external suppliers/foundries
Drive project meetings, reporting and delivery plans
Essential Experience
Proven experience managing ASIC semiconductor development projects
Strong understanding of the end to end ASIC development lifecycle
Knowledge of the ASIC flow
Strong project planning, risk management and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing complex technical projects with multiple dependencies
Strong communication skills and the ability to operate effectively with both technical and senior stakeholders
Experience with either ASIC Testing, ASIC Circuit Design or ASIC Packaging Assembly.
