Manual Test Lead

We are seeking an experienced Manual Test Lead to oversee and execute comprehensive testing strategies for backend IT infrastructure, network, and security projects. This role is with a leading Bank in Belgium, offering a dynamic, collaborative environment. The position is remote, with the requirement to travel to Brussels once a month for key meetings and collaboration sessions.
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience in manual testing within backend IT infrastructure, networks, and security domains.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, server configurations, firewalls, and IT security principles.
Testing Tools:
- Familiarity with tools for defect tracking and test management (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or similar).
Leadership Experience:
- Proven ability to lead testing teams and coordinate complex testing efforts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Domain Knowledge:
- Experience working in banking or financial services environments is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed test plans, strategies, and schedules for manual testing activities.
Collaborate with project managers, infrastructure engineers, and security teams to define testing objectives and deliverables.
Manual Testing Execution:
- Perform hands-on testing of IT infrastructure components, including network configurations, server setups, and security controls.
- Identify and document defects, working closely with developers and engineers to ensure timely resolution.
Leadership & Coordination:
- Lead a team of testers, providing mentorship and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Coordinate testing efforts across multiple projects and teams, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and defect logs.
- Provide detailed test reports and metrics to stakeholders, highlighting risks and recommendations for improvement.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all testing activities comply with banking standards, security policies, and industry regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
