EPAM is looking for a visionary leader and technically hands-on Head of Solution Architecture and Technology Consulting in Antwerp, Belgium reporting to the European Head of Practice. You will partner closely with the local and European leadership teams to help drive strategic growth with existing and future clients, inspire and push forward our architectural initiatives, ensuring alignment with our business goals and enhancing our technological capabilities. The role requires a strong background in solution architecture, software development, client engagement, technology consulting and stakeholder management. We offer a hybrid work environment - working in an EPAM office, on client site and from home depending on the projects you will be aligned to. Responsibilities Act as a Senior Technology Leader in expanding a team of Solution Architects and Technology Consultants, providing them with guidance and direction Drive Solution Architecture and Technology Consulting services across multiple industry sectors Take an active role in aligning closely with EPAMs wider leadership teams to help shape the business/technology/strategic direction and footprint across client projects with varying degrees of maturity Use your experience as a hands-on technologist to demonstrate strong credibility working with engineering teams up to CxO level both in EPAM and within our clients Direct our technology consultancy efforts in both sales/pre-sales pursuits,create and present architecture proposals and Proof-of-Concepts as required Provide consulting services covering areas such as architectural review, audit, architectural road-mapping and technical governance across multiple projects Formulate and present technology business cases across architecture, technology, strategy, IT organisational change management Act as a liaison between delivery managers, product managers, and development teams Representing EPAM at internal and external conferences, enhancing our visibility and thought leadership in the industry Requirements Fluent Dutch and English speaker with a Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or similar or strong relevant work experience Industry visionary, avid technologist at heart and a senior proven leader who can drive a Solution Architecture and Technology Consulting capability in a large consulting organisation Proven experience acting as a hands-on Senior/Lead/Chief Architect, Director of Architecture/Technology Consulting or CTO with a strong foundation in software development (Java, .Net etc), platform delivery, architecture design, digital transformation and comfortable partnering with teams up to CxO level Good industry experience, ideally in one or two core industry sectors such as Energy, Banking/Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, Telecoms, Life Sciences, Government, Manufacturing, Logistics etc with excellent understanding of major functional capabilities and common platform solutions across those sectors Experience with Microservice based architecture, designing enterprise services or integration capabilities using REST APIs and event-driven technology as well as leveraging native Cloud services (Azure, AWS or GCP), decentralized systems, and AIparticularly in the practical application of large language models Strong experience in leading multi-disciplinary project teams and delivering technology streams for large scale complex transformation projects whilst being able to help clients make the right technology choices for the ultimate success of their business Excellent client-facing onsite experience with the ability to influence and guide senior management on technical solutions combined with a consultative, problem solving approach Able to think outside the box, drive end-to-end initiatives and engagements, understand the complexity and relative timeframes of creating a roadmap for replacing a core capability in a global multinational organisation Pre-sales experience with the ability to act in an advisory capacity to senior level client management whilst executing and leading on rapid conceptual designs, proof-of-concepts and client presentations Well-versed in development of Enterprise and Solution Architecture, including governance, business drivers, technology and change management as well as deep understanding of architecture qualities such as: security, scalability, resiliency and availability in high performance low latency systems Our Benefits Include Private healthcare insurance (DKV) free for all household Pension plan (AG disability, death and pension) Daily restaurant tickets 7 face value Eco-cheques Joint Commitee gross bonus EOY premium Simple and double holiday pay Commuting to work- costs reimbursement OR Company Car + energy card IT equipment: e.g. laptop + mobile subscription Annual salary review Great learning and development opportunities, including in-house professional training, career advisory and coaching, sponsored professional certifications, well-being programs, LinkedIn Learning Solutions and much more About EPAM EPAM is a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and development services.
