The Purchasing team at Toyota Motor Europe can offer you this challenge. Located in the heart of Europe, Tool & Equipment Purchasing plays a key strategic role in the development of our future products, services. As a buyer you will develop and manage all aspects of the commercial relationship between Toyota and its suppliers. This position will allow you to have an insight into the most recent technical innovations and will enable you to get a deep understanding of how a leading multinational operates and interacts with numerous internal and external parties.
Your responsibilities
You develop and implement category and sourcing strategies in specific categories of goods and services across Europe You negotiate with our suppliers to achieve the best competitive price, based on specifications required You manage all commercial issues related to your portfolio of responsibility You are responsible to make appropriate supplier selection recommendations to senior management. You develop comprehensive understanding of technological and market trends You work with Global Toyota Purchasing. Your Profile
• You are fluent in English (TME's business language)
• You have a university degree or higher education in business, purchasing
• You have more than 18 months experience for a buyer, 5 years' experience for a senior buyer
• You have business understanding and affinity with automotive products
• You are results driven and able to break down complex issues into manageable portions
• You have good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• You have highly developed analytical skills, accuracy and reliability
• You can work independently in multi-disciplinary teams
• You are computer literate (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint)
• You enjoy working in a team and respect others, have a customer mindset
• You have strong planning and organization skills
• You are willing to travel up to 20%
