For a future we can all trust.Say HI* – to your career asSales Manager Belgium & EuropeAt the Herstal siteIn Herstal, you will join more than 150 colleagues specialized in the design, development, production and supply of weapon systems and ammunitions for use by customers in the Defense (MoD), Aerospace (OEM) and Land (OEM) sectors. With the Guided Rocket in the portfolio additional market’s segments are now addressed like Ground-to-Ground applications or Counter-UAS.Today the Group employs more than 1,000 people across nine sites in Belgium. Discover all Thales activities in Belgium here.Your mission Act as the primary point of contact with export customers and partners (internal and external), in co-ordination with the bid team and the Head of Product Line Management.Order IntakeDevelopment, generation and agreement of Thales Belgium order intake pipeline.Management and delivery of the agreed annual order intake budget/target.Identification, qualification, development and bid of Thales Belgium products and services into the export military marketsCapture and Bid ManagementAs appropriate, become the Capture Lead for captures.Ensure appropriate Capture Reviews and appropriately tailored Gate 0, 1, 2 and 3s are conducted for each opportunity and capture.Generate credible and timely Price to Win (PTW) targets to drive competitive pricing and higher PWin.Ensure capture and bid resource and budget requirements are defined, managed and communicated effectively.Agree prioritization of captures and bids to best utilize business resources.Manage the development and execution of Capture Plans including win strategy, hot buttons, Price to Win, stakeholder mapping and engagement, BP budget, resourcing and return on investment.MarketingDevelopment and delivery of product/service marketing plans, in co-ordination with the functions and Thales Belgium; to include: marketing collateral, attendance at events and exhibitions, demonstrations etc.Stakeholder ManagementEstablish strong, collaborative relationships with the customer and industry partners to deliver superior market understanding drive competitive advantage.Establish strong internal collaborative relationships with sister businesses within Thales Belgium, the Thales GBUs, Business Lines to identify, develop and win business opportunities utilizing Thales products, technologies and services?Governance and FinancialEnsure Business Winning Governance, Ethics policies, processes are understood and followed.Ensure BE Government export License requirements are met for all export opportunities.Ensure Thales 360 data is kept up to date at all times.Key DeliverablesAnnual order intake budget/target.Capture plans.Price to Win.KPIsPortfolio OI and GMOI (in year and five 5 year plan).Contribution to Capture Plans.We are looking forward toSkillsInterpersonal.Analytical approach.Critical decision making.Collaborative working.Technical understanding.Problem solving, innovative thinking.Leadership and communication.Deal closure.ExperienceDefense marketing and sales.Defense procurement.Capture management.Export markets.Contracts and commercial.OI pipeline management.Cost, schedule and risk management.Partnering.Technology transfer.Required level of studies and experienceBachelor degree in Mechanics or Electronics is an assetProven experience in a similar position is an assetAn experience working for an international defense company is also an asset;Knowledge and skillsYou are a real team playerYou speak French, English and Dutch (mandatory for this position)Your like accuracy and rigorYou are capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings and bill of materialsYou have a good understanding of manufacturing processYou have strong analytical skillsYou are customer orientedTeam-oriented approach and transversal coordination across multiple departmentsAdvanced knowledge of ExcelThales is a global technology leader with more than 81,000 employees on five continents.
