This is a fulltime hybrid role where you will be working from our office in Antwerp and Brussels, Belgium. Role Overview At Zurich, our Claims team plays a vital role in delivering excellent service to our clients. In this position, you’ll focus primarily on handling Marine (hull and cargo) claims while also supporting Property claims, always with a commitment to customer satisfaction. Your work will involve close engagement with stakeholders, gathering evidence, and making accurate claim assessments, all while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and identifying opportunities for recovery or fraud prevention. Key Responsibilities Asses and determine claims, within the approval authorization frame for policies for Marine & Property insurance, working closely together with our brokers Undertake effective investigation to enable accurate and prompt liability decision making Set up and coordinate the process and assess the need for (external) expertise You will effectively capture all new claim reports and other relevant information with accuracy Effectively manage the claim journey and expectations Qualifications Minimum a bachelor’s degree, a law background is preferable At least 2-3 years of experience working with Marine claims, experience with Property claims is a plus, but is not necessary. Good technical knowledge along the claims handling core processes Excellent knowledge of both Dutch and English (written, spoken) are required, knowledge of French is an asset.
