The GIS Safety team manages the administrative follow-up and data of approximately 180 external partners/suppliers and their employees, as well as specific safety data of internal employees. To strengthen the team, we are looking for a new colleague who will guide and coach the team in monitoring the safety aspects that GIS must comply with in the execution of its activities. For the development of a uniform GIS approach, the GIS Safety team can rely on the support and guidance of GIS colleagues responsible for the GIS processes and tools. Additionally, the team works closely with the GIS contract owners and project leaders who, as internal N+1, are responsible for the employees of the external partner. Group Protection and Prevention advises and informs the GIS Safety team in the development of its activities. Procurement is also an important partner in managing the contractual aspects of working with external partners. Activities of the GIS Safety team The GIS Safety team monitors, among other things, the following matters. The inventory of active external GIS partners, their safety officers, their employees, and the status of the certificates and conditions to meet the safety requirements. The onboarding process by external partners who deploy operational employees to perform risky manual labor, such as the use of machines, tools, devices. The external partner must obtain prior written permission from Proximus to work with subcontractors. The main contractor must demonstrate that the subcontractor meets specific safety and social security requirements and prove this by completing a questionnaire and submitting evidence online. The Proximus Group is legally required to ensure that individuals who have or need access to identified critical spaces, infrastructures, and applications have a positive safety recommendation or a "clearance." To obtain this recommendation, the GIS Safety team enters the applications for internal and external employees into an online tool and follows the status of the applications together with GPP. The GIS Safety team assists internal managers (N+1) in overseeing external employees by ensuring the proper execution of the administrative procedures for onboarding new staff. The team actively participates in certain tasks and ensures that all parties involved take the necessary steps to equip employees with the tools they need to effectively fulfill their roles at GIS. Furthermore, the GIS Safety team is tasked with managing the administrative processes for external employees whose contracts with GIS conclude. During the annual VCA audit, the GIS Safety team verifies the validity of internal GIS employees' certificates and ensures copies are on file. For external partners' employees, the team tracks certificate expiration dates and reminds partners of their responsibility to manage these for their staff. Your Profile Your profile You have experience or a strong interest in safety requirements and guidelines for businesses. You and your team handle the administrative tasks related to guidelines, processes, and laws that safeguard the safety and reputation of Proximus/GIS, its assets, and both internal and external employees. You effectively differentiate between critical and less critical elements in the administrative management of safety aspects within the team. You pay attention to detail while maintaining a comprehensive overview of all GIS requirements. You embody the GIS ethos and apply a consistent approach and follow-up across various teams whenever possible. You are a genuine team player, collaborating effectively with colleagues and external parties within and outside GIS (GPP, PRO). Your communication and consultation skills help achieve optimal solutions for all parties involved in the company's safety management. You serve as the primary contact for Corporate Protection & Security within GIS regarding new or changing safety aspects. You can persuasively communicate their importance to your GIS colleagues and assist them in implementation. Your adaptable mindset allows you to swiftly realign your team's priorities or direction in response to evolving safety aspects or legislation. You are fluent in French, Dutch, and English.
