Description du poste
You are part of the BESIX RED Legal team, supporting the activities of the real estate development company which is active at pan-European level (Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Portugal, the Netherlands).
You will be involved into:
- the legal accompanying of real estate developments projects;
- and into overall legal management of the companies’ activities and its subsidiaries.
You will be involved / responsible of within the following matters:
- Contract management : drafting and review of contractual agreements (project management agreements, loan agreements, asset deals agreements, lease agreements, etc), on a project basis as well as on a company basis.
- Corporate housekeeping : in liaison with the finance department and our partners, you manage the corporate housekeeping of the Company and its subsidiaries (around 50). You provide adequate follow-up in this respect. You also manage the necessary reporting towards internal stakeholders.
- Insurance : you monitor the proper insurance management of the Company activities and provide guidance to the project manager.
- Litigation : you provide advice (and follow-up as the case may be) on litigation issues.
- Compliance management : impact analysis, provide guidance and management of compliance regulations that may affect the company activities and (i.e. GDPR, AML, etc).
As part of a small but dedicated legal team, you will work with various internal and external stakeholders, representing the company and defending its interest. Working within a fast-growing company, you will get the opportunity to work on various files from different angles (acquisition, development, exit) and be involved into multiple law areas (civil, corporate, tax, urban planning,...).
You will work on complex and multi-functional real estate development projects.
**Qualifications**:
We are looking for a Legal Counsel willing to grow and develop himself within a real estate development company offering multiple of opportunities.
In this respect:
- You have a law degree.
- You have some work experience (min. 2 years - in real estate/construction law is a plus).
- You are able to work in a team and to communicate with other stakeholders efficiently.
- You are willing to work within multiple legal matters (all-round profile).
- You are proactive and solution-minded.
- You are French and/or Dutch-speaking, with a good English command (and, if relevant, willing to improve your language skills).
