**Who we are looking for**

Approach is expanding its activities at a steady pace. In view of reinforcing the team, we are looking for a **dynamic**, **hands-on** and **pragmatic business partner** who is able to work in a team and think out of the box.
You will work in close collaboration with your colleagues in our dynamic Finance team and will directly report to Jean-Christophe, our Chief Financial Officer.

**Your role and responsibilities**

As a Junior Accountant, you will:

- Play a crucial role in the finance department, contributing to the maintenance and development of our financial health and clarity.
- You will be entrusted with handling day-to-day accounting tasks, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
- Your role will involve close collaboration with other team members and departments, allowing you to gain comprehensive insight into the financial workings of a thriving business.

**Your mission will consist of**:

- **Collaborative Contribution**: Work closely with the senior accounting team to contribute to important financial decisions and strategies.
- **Data Analysis and Reporting**: Analyse financial data and assist in preparing reports that reflect our financial status, ensuring all data aligns with our company values and objectives.
- **Regulatory Adherence**: Stay updated with accounting laws and standards, ensuring that all financial practices comply with legal requirements and ethical standards.
- **Enhancing Financial Processes**: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of our accounting operations.
- **Cross-Functional Support**: Liaise with other departments to support their financial inquiries, fostering a collaborative environment that aligns with our human-centric approach.

**Your key responsibilities will be**:

- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance and account reconciliation.
- Participate in the budgeting process and financial forecasting.
- Support the accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

**Your profile**

**You have**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience or equivalent relevant activity
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel,) and familiarity with accounting software.
- Detail-oriented, with a knack for numbers and a commitment to accuracy.
- Analytical skills, creative thinking, problem solving and flexibility.
- Excellent communication skills in English AND French OR Dutch.
