AniCura Belgium consists out of 18 clinics spread across the country.

*** Why are we looking for a new colleague?**:
Due to the promotion of our current Regional Operations Manager for Belgium we are on the lookout for a new colleague who is very much interested in taking the operations activities on themselves for AniCura Belgium.

**What are the main focus points of this role?**:

- **Business management**: Be the responsible person for all strategic and operational activities for all of our Belgian clinics. This also means that you take on the full P&L responsibility for all our Belgian clinics with all the operational activities. As such, your role has a big decision-making impact. To make this happen, it is important that you visit or have regular contact with the practice managers of the clinics responsible.
- **Project management**: In close collaboration with the clinics, you will identify, execute and follow-up on (investment) projects that are related to the further growth, modernization and efficient working of the clinics. You will work in that regard very closely with several other people on the AniCura Central Team such as the medical partner, construction manager, finance team...
- **People management**: To help you be successful, we have two very dedicated colleagues who function as regional admin partners. They are present within the clinics and help you execute the projects at hand. They have a very broad knowledge and expertise that helps you better understand what to take in account when rolling out projects as they are very much aware of the challenges, problems and elements to focus on to have a successful cooperation between yourself and the clinics. It will be your responsibility to steer these colleagues in the correct direction, which is in line with the day-to-day operations and strategy.

**What background and expertise do you bring?**:
Given the scope and responsibility, we look for a dynamic professional with maturity and authority. You support clinics in the transition phase from independent entrepreneur to a collaborative member of the AniCura family. You ensure the vets are optimally supported with Medical, HR, Finance, Marketing, and other areas where they might need support.
- You are a person who can create, follow up on, and translate a very clear strategic vision. As you should be able to translate this strategic vision into reality, you need to have not only a conceptual mind but be able to have executional pragmatism, hands-on and just-do-it mentality.
- A university degree in management, economics, or business administration is highly preferred, but proven previous experience could be considered much more relevant and valuable.
- Experience as a consultant or business manager with this experience is ideally gained within the veterinary, hospital & healthcare, or pharmaceuticals industry is highly preferred.
- You can communicate impeccably, both spoken and written, in Dutch and French. As we are part of an international organization, professional knowledge of English is highly desirable.
- Very analytical, data-driven decision-maker. Your colleagues call you a “number cruncher”.
- You are a person who has an entrepreneurial mindset and can work with a high degree of autonomy. You are well structured, with strong self-management and prioritization skills.
- High level of emotional intelligence and ability to deal with a variety of personalities.
- Strong ethics and accountability.
- Capability to drive change in a “matrix” organization.
- Preparedness to be often on the road to work from our clinics or the central office in Zaventem. Otherwise, you have no issue working from home as well.
- You have a passion for pets and enjoy working in an entrepreneurial environment with a high pace and opportunity to make an impact.
