**Your Mission**:
**As an**OPC Risk Analyst** at BNP Paribas Fortis, the role involves acting as a strategic partner for operational risk management. Working closely with business teams and second-line defence functions (such as Compliance and Risk Monitoring), the OPC Risk Analyst helps to identify key risk areas and propose practical solutions to reduce them. This role is essential in ensuring management stays focused on the most important risk priorities.**:
**Your key responsibilities**:

- ** Identify and monitor risks** : carry out **risk self-assessments** (RCSA - Risk and Control Self-Assessment) on business processes both regularly and when specific issues arise. Evaluate risks by combining feedback from teams, process understanding, and available data.
- ** Review and improve controls** : assess whether current controls are effective, practical, and correctly applied. Recommend improvements and ensure they align with the organisation’s risk appetite (the level of risk the bank is willing to accept).
- ** Advise and support management** : contribute to decision-making processes in risk-related areas such as new activities, risk acceptance, and regulatory responses. Actively promote risk awareness and support management in understanding operational risks that may influence strategic decisions.
- ** Collaborate across teams** : work closely with other Operational Permanent Control (OPC) teams and regularly communicate with business partners to build strong working relationships. Share insights and proactively highlight risk areas that require attention.

**YOUR TALENTS AND COMPETENCES**
- Ability to take on a dynamic, proactive role as a facilitator, working smoothly with both internal teams and external partners.
- Strong analytical skills, with the capacity to summarise complex information clearly and efficiently.
- Quick to spot links, patterns, and potential impacts across different activities and processes.
- Natural ease with project-based work, coordination, and managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of compliance, risk management, or process management, or a strong willingness to develop this knowledge rapidly.
- Confident and fluent communicator in Dutch, French, and English, both spoken and written, including delivering presentations to senior management.
- Excellent command of MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; specific training on OPC tools will be provided.
