Then look no further because we are looking for several Team Leaders in Mechelen.

As a team leader you are responsible for the efficient daily functioning of the department, with a particular emphasis on managing warehouse employees and implementing action plans for the warehouse.

You establish procedures to make promises to the company and to comply with customers and ensure that they are enforced; you continuously stimulate/implement improvements; within your area of responsibility you provide training, motivation and leadership; you resolve conflicts; and you ensure the enforcement of company rules and procedures.

**What You Do On a Typical Day**
- Ensure continuous management of team performance; ensure the development of employees through training and coaching
- Comply with all operational KPIs as the person with final responsibility
- Assign tasks and ensure that work is completed properly and accurately
- Ensure a safe working environment and contribute to a positive team dynamic, whereby problems in the relations between employees are resolved and corrective where necessary measures are taken
- Leading start-up activities with cross-functional teams
- As the person ultimately responsible, making recommendations for appointments, contract terminations, performance reviews and promotions
- Daily communication with internal and external customers at operational level
- Taking care of personnel planning for all services and accounts; the workload of employees plan and organize
- Document the processes the department works with
- Train employees in such a way that they have up-to-date knowledge of processes, rules and procedures

**What do you need to succeed at GXO?**
- Multicultural Awareness - You have the ability to communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds.
- MBO logistics, supply chain management or equivalent. Is required
- A demonstrable track record of operations experience in a similar position
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
- LEAN Warehousing knowledge and experience
- Customer focused with the ability to motivate a team
- Leadership qualities and experience within a warehouse environment
- Ability to remain calm and composed when the going gets tough
- Resilience, goal orientated and a positive approach
- Excellent reporting and presentation skills plus financial knowledge
