**The Opportunity...**:
We are looking for a Commercial Director, within our Service department. The Commercial Director is an influential, strategic and hands-on leadership role, crucial for driving commercial success across the EMEA region, while providing strategic support to the APAC and LATAM regions. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and inspire a dynamic hierarchy of leaders across Commercial Service Sales, Spare Parts, and Preventative Maintenance. You will empower managers and employees, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence to achieve outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Collaboration
- Accountable Leadership: Lead the DF&H Service Commercial organization within EMEA, ensuring strategic goals are not only met but exceeded. Drive strategic objectives and performance by leading and directing sub-department managers, supervisors, and direct teams.
- Mentorship and Empowerment: Manage and mentor diverse teams, equipping them to drive commercial success in their respective regions. Emphasize the importance of collaboration by working closely with the Business Development Director to fuel growth, the Technical & Service Director to ensure robust service solutions, and the Operations Director to uphold On Time Delivery commitments.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Foster a collaborative environment that emphasizes integrity and teamwork, essential for building long-lasting relationships with our customers and internal teams.
Strategy Development and Sales
- Strategic Vision: Formulate and execute strategic plans to elevate service sales and market penetration across EMEA, with strategic oversight for APAC and LATAM regions. Lead efforts in commercial strategy and key account management to drive growth.
- Direct Sales Leadership: Actively drive sales efforts, engaging directly with key accounts and working closely with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions that delight.
- Market Adaptation: Collaborate on area-specific sales strategies, adapting global plans to meet the unique needs of each region. Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and expansion in service sales.
Sales Management
- Comprehensive Sales Oversight: Direct the sales efforts for service projects, retrofits, ProCARE plans, preventative maintenance plans, and spare parts sales. Ensure effective management of aftermarket sales within designated geographic areas. Also proactively do sales management with your own accounts.
Customer Relations and Market Expansion
- Customer Delight: Foster and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions that delight. Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the customer base and explore new markets.
- Customer Success Partnership: As a service organization, we build enduring relationships with our customers, working closely with our new equipment teams to ensure they are well-served with existing equipment, upgrades, and new machines. Our success is intertwined with our customers' success, and we are committed to supporting their journey by offering solutions that ensure longevity and efficiency.
Performance Monitoring and Innovation
- Performance Excellence: Establish and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics to ensure objectives are met and exceeded. Accurately forecast sales revenue, prepare regular reports, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Innovative Solutions: Drive innovation in service offerings to meet evolving customer demands and enhance competitive advantage. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and uphold the commitment to high-quality products and services.
Product Knowledge and Training
- Continuous Learning: Ensure the sales team is well-versed in product details and provide ongoing training to maintain a high level of expertise.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in a director-level commercial leadership role within the service sales sector, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong understanding of service sales, including projects, retrofits, maintenance plans, and spare parts.
- Experience working in EMEA, with knowledge of APAC and LATAM markets being advantageous.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
