The Director Program Management Office will play an integral role in helping the Company achieve its ambition by driving the regional transformation Plan into action and building a strong and sustainable Newell Brands organization. Specifically, the Director PMO will drive a specific, cross-functional team to ensure the successful on-time and on-target delivery of agreed-upon outcomes associated with a specific workstream(s). The domains of these projects are diverse, they can support changes in Business organizational optimization, Growth acceleration, Centre of Excellence, Supply chain platforms, Global Business service, Tax, Legal, Real Estate, Sustainability, Merger and acquisitions, as we continue to adapt our business portfolio.

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Drive process development and continuous improvement mentality.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan for the specific workstreams, incorporating key milestones and specific activities necessary for successful delivery; manage cross-functional team to meet milestones.
- Serve as key liaison between the region leadership and workstream(s)/business leaders to report out on milestones, progress, risks, etc., utilizing standardized reporting formats or creating new scorecards as needed.
- Develop executive level presentation materials for use in project updates.
- Independently lead and oversee multiple components of work within the specific workstreams.
- Proactively identify risks to execution and report out as appropriate; work with project teams to develop mitigating action plans. Additionally, identify all critical interdependencies related to the project(s) and drive consistent communication across all related parties.
- Maintain scoping documents for specific workstream(s), updating as needed to reflect changes in project direction.
- Identify KPIs for each workstream; determine appropriate baseline and ongoing tracking method and develop KPI reporting cadence.
- Identify, negotiate, and support the resolution of issues within and between various project teams.
- Model a culture that improves the organization’s comfort with the speed of change, challenging assumptions, relentless pursuit of improvement - all with a high sense of personal accountability.
- Ensure confidentiality governance on specific projects and manage the NDA for designated project team members.

Key Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in a program leadership role, preferably in an international matrix organization.
- Project Manager experience with projects comprised of several large, inter-related workstreams preferred.
- Strategic thinker capable of rapidly getting up to speed with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Background in an analytical field such as engineering, finance, or sciences and applied experience in industry or consulting, preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and be well versed in project management and change methodology.
- Experience leading multiple cross functional complex change initiatives.
- Able to work across the organization to both direct and influence peers to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Exhibit some hands-on work ethic, willing to roll up their sleeves and drive to outcomes in an unemotional and collaborative manner.
- Demonstrated confidence to calculate and manage risks.
- BS/BA or University degree
- Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Teams or specialized PPM tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills are required.
- Fluency in English is required, both oral and written
