**Start Up Development Manager - LabID**

**Your Mission**

As our new Development Manager for LabID, part of Sparkalis, the corporate ventures arm of the Puratos group, you will join an innovative company that offers the world’s first microbiome analysis tool for sourdough as well as other traditional fermented foods. We thrive on creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, and we're looking for a like-minded Development Manager to help us kick start the company and drive our growth. Our main customers are professional and amateur sourdough enthusiasts and, later on, also people interested to know what is growing in traditionally fermented food such as cocoa etc. You will be supported and coached by professionals of a FoodTech/Innovation driven food ingredient multinational with the agility and entrepreneurship experience of working in a start-up.

**What you will do?**
As **Development Manager** you will get the opportunity to become the internal and external go-to-person for the commercial and strategic development of our start-up LabID.
- You **set up and execute the sales and marketing plan**.
- You define and follow up on **commercial KPI’s** (Key Performance Indicators).
- You think creatively to **identify opportunities** others may not have considered.
- You communicate effectively with various **internal and external stakeholders**.
- You **negotiate deals** with potential partners or clients.

**Who are we looking for?**
- You have a minimum of **3 years of experience in a business development role**. Experience in the baking industry is a plus.
- You have a master degree in business administration, sales, or relevant field.
- You have a **strong entrepreneurial spirit** to get things done and go the extra mile.
- You are a **creative thinker** with a knack for identifying new opportunities.
- You have a strong **business and financial acumen** and can easily analyse sales numbers
- You are an **influencer/networker** and different digital communication channels (social media,) have no secrets for you.
- You have a good **marketing knowledge** (theoretical & practical)
- You are well organized and a good planner (time - budget - activities)
- You are fluently in English (written/spoken). Knowledge of Dutch/French or Italian is a plus.
- You’re willing to travel 30% of your time to recruit prospects, visit larger customers, attend fairs and events.
