A great opportunity is now AVAILABLE for a Cloud SRE to join the Cloud Platform Engineering team for a leading media and telecommunications conglomerate in Belgium. You will join a gifted, ambitious, forward-thinking, and diverse team where the focus is on building modern, scalable automated platforms with security and reliability built in.  **THE ROLE**: Monitoring, analysing and understanding what is happening within the services. Measuring services through SLIs and SLOs is vital to our success. Refining monitoring patterns and integrations with new and existing services. Developing CI / CD pipelines for improvements within the platform. Acting as an escalation point for incident management for a 24x7 operation covering our critical products. Providing support to teams during post-mortems and complex triage. Developing Disaster Recovery tests, creating the patterns for recovery and leading game days. Defining cost optimisation patterns and developing automation to support them.  SKILLS: You'll have experience working in an SRE team in a leading role You have an enthusiasm for site reliability engineering including knowledge of SLIs/SLOs, how they impact and benefit services You're able to drive automation as a solution to manual processes and be capable of explaining the benefits. You'll have in-depth understanding of monitoring tools such as Datadog or similar You'll have deep experience with AWS â" all major technologies within AWS (ECS, Cloudwatch and Lambda) and you're able to troubleshoot complex issues within AWS networking You have a good understanding of the AWS Well Architected Framework. You have good knowledge of container software, Docker and ECS. You'll have practical experience with CI/CD such as Bitbucket / git and Bitbucket pipelines. You'll be able to demonstrable experience with coding or scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash).
