Junior Project Officer

The European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) is the European not-for-profit organization representing over 20,000 social service providers in 41 countries. Job description

EASPD is looking for a Junior Project Officer who can support the implementation of an emergency response action that will support young children at risk or with developmental difficulties who have been affected by the war on Ukraine.

Tasks will include:

- Working with national partners who are working on the ground to support children with disabilities from Ukraine and their families.
- Supporting the development of local trainings for para specialists in the field of Early Childhood Intervention (ECI).
- Supporting the implementation of awareness raising activities of the national and European challenges to ECI services.
- Contributing to research into the national capacity of partner research to respond to children with disability coming from Ukraine.
- Becoming an expert on the field of Early Childhood Intervention.
- Administrative tasks linked to the project.
- Work with a small team within EASPD and the partnership to deliver the project outputs.

Job RequirementsEssential:

- At least 6 months proven experience in project implementation, in particular under EU programmes.
- Oral and Written Fluency in English and at least one additional European language with a preference for Ukrainian and/or Russian.
- Capacity to work autonomously.
- Capacity to work in collaboration and in a team.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Basic Microsoft (outlook, excel, powerpoint, etc).

Desired:

- Knowledge of social services sector (e.g. childcare, social support for persons with disabilities, inclusive education, access to employment, access to justice, etc), in particular in the field of Early Childhood Intervention
- Knowledge of EU Social Policy (European Pillar of Social Rights,, social inclusion)

Terms of the Contract:

- ** An 18 month fixed term contract.**:

- The selected person must have a valid permit to work and live in the EU/Belgium.
- The workstation is the EASPD headquarters in Brussels (BE). In normal time (outside of COVID rules), the work schedule is minimum 3 days in the office per week.
- Contract 38 hours per week; remuneration at approximately €2.700 gross; additional €160 for workplace expenses/month and meal vouchers.
