Internship - Earth Observation Community Management

**We are looking for an Intern to support the Project Manager, Community Manager and Developers during the pre-operational and initial operational phases of a newly developed Earth Observation data processing platform.**

**Assignment**
The Services Department provides end-to-end services for the development and operation of complex systems. The Department includes complete teams to manage, coordinate and execute service provision as well as individuals, experts in many scientific and engineering domains as well as staff experienced in operations and training. The Department also supports the development and operations of services provided through a new Earth Observation data processing platform.
The Internship location is in our main office at Sint-Stevens-Woluwe (Brussels Area).
The Internship is available in the **Services** Department.
The duration of the **internship is 6 months.**
**Tasks and Responsibilities**
This will include but will not be limited to:

- Support the Community management:

- Organisation and attendance at community events (workshops, webinars)
- Management of community interactions on the relevant channels (e.g. platform, forum, social networks)
- Collection and consolidation of community feedback
- Collaborate and contribute to the parallel user engagement activity
- Interface with the development and integration team for the required customizations
- Support the transition from a pre-operational to an operational service (process and procedures).
**Skills and Experience**
Depending on the Internship’s scope of work, a selection of the following is desirable:

- Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree or a similar university program in Space Sciences, Remote Sensing, Communication or Project Management
- Experience with communication, community building, public relations or similar
- Interest for Earth Observation
- Ability to take initiatives, be flexible, organised and work collaboratively in a team
- Strength to self-disciplined, with a problem-solving approach and work ethic
- Excellent written and spoken English.
