**Make your mark for patients**

We are looking for a **Data Policy & Privacy Lead** to join us in our **Data Office** function, to be based in any of our Brussels (Belgium), Slough (UK) or Raleigh (US) offices.

**About the role**

This role recognizes the multi-faceted considerations required by UCB’s vision to unleash the full potential of available data sources (both relevant external data sources and the re-use of data from UCB studies). As data must be processed in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, this includes accountability that data-related activities are compliant with the company’s data privacy responsibilities.

**Who you’ll work with**

You will report into the Head of Data Policy & Privacy

**What you’ll do**
- Support the data office policy team in the creation, implementation, and support of data-related policy topics; support policy and advocacy excellence.
- Ensure appropriate collaboration across relevant UCB stakeholders, and across the value chain and product lifecycles for UCB data strategy policies.
- Contribute and provide guidance to data transparency team members at UCB, as needed.
- Support global alignment of UCB messaging and advocacy for identified data-related policy priorities, collaborating with disclosure and data transparency colleagues as required.
- Promote “Privacy by Design” principles on an ongoing basis.
- Advise regarding appropriate organizational measures related to data protection.
- Provide data privacy advice to business owners as appropriate.
- Ensure operational activities in support of data privacy commitments are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

I**nterested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred
- Extensive international experience in the healthcare industry or public health.
- Demonstrated ability to be persuasive with influential stakeholders - internal and external - with excellent written and speaking skills.
- Extensive experience collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Advanced academic degree in data-related field, also with knowledge of data privacy regulations and data governance.
