**Job Summary**:
The Area Manager is part of the Sales Department. The main responsibility of the Area Manager is to manage all activities related to the Terumo Interventional Systems product portfolio (Access, Closure, Guidewires, Catheters, Embolics, Peripheral Intervention, Coronary and Radial) within Northern Italy. The position entails both Direct (65%) and Indirect (35%) sales. Working closely together with internal business functions such as Marketing, Customer Service and Logistics as well as with external sales agents and distributors is an important aspect of the position. Although there is no direct people management involved we are looking for a highly influential and charismatic colleague that can motivate others and coordinate different business functions. Experience with Interventional Systems, Cardiology or Endovascular interventions product portfolio is a must to be eligible for this position.

**Responsibilities**:
Product Knowledge
- Understand the technical specifications and competitive advantages of the product range. Ability to translate and transfer these to a customer base, either direct or indirect via the support to external sales agents and distributors.

Sales and Profit
- Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing Manager in the preparation of the annual budget and business plan
- Establish transfer prices to customers following the guidelines of the Sales & Marketing Manager
- Keep agents, dealers and distributors informed about objectives, results and changing policies
- Prepare business goals and sales targets together with the Sales & Marketing manager to present to agents, dealers and distributors
- Maintain and excel in a professional relationship with customers, HCP's and KOL's and understand their needs and how to alleviate these
- Collaborate with and give input to the (Product) Marketing team on field activities and how to ameliorate future activities
- Take ownership of the private and public Tender Process and make sure all internal and external stakeholders are aligned and informed correctly
- Report on your activities following company guidelines

Business Development
- Support the Sales and Marketing organization in identifying and analysing the competition, market needs & trends, sales techniques and pricing strategy
- Be attentive for opportunities to cross-sell and liaise closely with Terumo Interventional Systems counterparts within Italy but also beyond

**Profile Description**:

- A high school degree is mínimally required
- 5 years of relevant and proven work experience in an outside sales role within the medical device industry
- Knowledge of Interventional systems product portfolio
- Written and spoken knowledge of English
- Proficiency with the Microsoft suit, experience with Power BI and SAP are considered a plus
