As the Financial Analyst for the emerging Global Solutions business area, you will report to the Global Solutions Business Controller and be based in our office in Leuven. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights that support decision-making within an organisation. This role involves a combination of financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

**Role and Responsibilities**:
Financial Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis:

- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to assess the company's performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Analyse financial statements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Assist in the development and maintenance of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Collaborate with department heads to gather budget inputs and ensure alignment with overall financial goals.

Variance Analysis:

- Monitor budget-to-actual performance and provide explanations for variances.
- Identify areas of financial risk and opportunity and recommend corrective actions.

Financial Modelling:

- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making.
- Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate the financial impact of different business strategies.

Reporting:

- Prepare regular financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Present financial information in a clear and concise manner for non-financial audiences.

Ad Hoc Analysis:

- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and prepare special reports as requested by management.
- Support various departments with financial insights for specific projects.

Cost Analysis:

- Analyse costs and expenditures to provide insights into cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with operational teams to optimise spending and resource allocation.

Data Management:

- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data in various systems.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of financial software tools.

**Qualifications** About You**:

- Master degree in finance
- At least 5 years experience in financial analysis and/or controlling
- General accounting skills including knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and techniques, as well as calculating budgets, cost analysis and reduction, managing cash flow and a general ledger, reconciling bank statements, and basic knowledge of accounting programs and the mathematical formulas involved in these calculations
- Good communication skills, fluent in English (oral & written)
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Pragmatic, flexible and stress resistant
- Solution oriented, proactive, customer focused
