The Artistocrats is known for the turn-based historical strategy game **_Order of Battle - WW2_** and the more recent real-time strategy title **_Starship Troopers: Terran Command_**, based on Paul Verhoeven’s cult sci-fi classic. We are passionate about strategy and management games and are dedicated to establish our studio as a well-known and respected developer in these genres.

**What the job entails**:
We are looking for a talented **game designer** with strong **writing and communication skills**.

As a game designer, you will work both on new content for our existing games and contribute to prototypes for our upcoming projects. Using the scenario editor of _Starship Troopers: Terran Command_, you’ll **design maps and missions** with original settings, compelling storylines, memorable characters, and engaging gameplay events. You will also take part in the **prototyping and implementation of new gameplay systems and mechanics** for our current and future games.

In addition to game design, your writing skills will be key in **crafting marketing content**, including **dev diaries, press releases** and engaging **news posts** about our games and studio for Steam and various other social media platforms.

If you have a passion for storytelling, there’s also an opportunity to contribute to in-game narratives by writing story text and character dialogues.

Altogether this is a dynamic and creative role where you’ll have a direct impact on both game content and how our projects are communicated to the world.

**The skills you need**:

- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience or equivalent portfolio content.
- Game Design: Proven expertise with a portfolio showcasing multiple case studies.
- C# Programming/Scripting: Basic proficiency in C# programming/scripting.
- Unity Experience: Extensive experience with Unity (scenes, prefabs, components,)
- Writing Skills: Portfolio must includes examples of content created for a professional or public audience.
- RTS Game Knowledge: Adequate familiarity with RTS games and mechanics (e.g., Warcraft/Starcraft, Age of Empires, Total War, Company of Heroes).
