The Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment at Microsoft is at the leading edge of our transformation. It is a tremendous growth engine for the company, driven by exponential growth in cloud as well as continued momentum in the traditional on-premises business. Dedicated to empowering every SMB worldwide to achieve more, this high performing segment delivers compelling Microsoft cloud solutions to millions of customers globally, growing revenue and market share while delivering a high level of customer and partner satisfaction.
As the Azure business development manager for this market you are the business leader with technical and business expertise within our SMB team working directly with our main Mid Market customer and orchestrating the business through our multiple scale-motions and programs we run.
**Responsibilities**:
- 40% of your time will be spent by engaging with customer directly based upon qualified leads coming in through digital and on-site engagements. These leads are generated through multiple GTM engines we run in a Microsoft Direct approach and through partner marketing activities. Goal is to win the trust of these companies and win them on our Azure platform.
- 40% of your time will be spent driving and orchestrating our Microsoft Direct sales activities. There are multiple teams working in our SMB team to help our customers both commercially and technically. You are responsible of setting up a strong Rythm of business with these digital teams making sure each step of the process runs smoothly. This requires a strong sales execution mindset and ability to engage directly where needed.
- 20% of your time will be spent on pure blue ocean sales strategy development. There are many industries/regions where we have untapped potential, your responsibility is to develop a strong business development plan, execute against this plan by directly engaging yourself and orchestrating our partner and marketing team to drive scalable execution.
