Compliance Officer Credit Insurance

**Function**:
**The role**:

- Reports to the Head of Compliance Northern Europe Region;
- Fulfills the tasks of the compliance function as per company's Compliance Policy and Belgian Solvency II Law and regulations;
- Provides comprehensive regulatory advice to all Euler Hermes operations in the Benelux and ensures compliance with all regulatory and Allianz requirements to promote and embed a culture of integrity and compliance thoughout the business.

**The challenges**:

- To drive the Benelux integration and convergence on compliance processes and quality of execution, in line with the group Compliance TOM;
- To develop strong compliance visibility within the Benelux and become the internal point of reference for all compliance matters;
- To manage and ensure a systematic usage of the regulatory compliance tools by all the identified owners.

**Key responsibilitiesMain responsabilities**:

- Manage all the regulatory platforms, manage requirements and relationship with conduct authority across Benelux;
- Maintaining detailed awareness of regulatory developments, and changes in the wider financial marketplace, so as to provide expert advice to the business on applicable rules and regulations and strategic compliance guidance on regulatory queries;
- Providing support on other regulatory projects across the EH Group;
- Ongoing review and assessment of the impact of regulatory developments affecting the business and assisting in implementing necessary changes to policies, procedures, processes and systems;
- Assisting the Chief Compliance Officer to manage the business relationship with the NBB and FSMA, particularly for Euler Hermes SA;
- Liaising with and providing support to senior management, to ensure promotion of a culture of integrity and compliance throughout the business;
- Investigating escalated complaints and dealing with the conduct authorities;
- Dealing with regulators, assisting in collating reports and addressing relevant enquiries from regulators;
- Organising remedial action to address identified gaps in compliance controls;
- Promoting awareness among management and employees of compliance matters;
- Be part of the corpororate compliance team and active involvement in global compliance topics areas and related projects.

**Profile**:

- BE qualified barrister or solicitor, professional legal qualification desirable;
- Sufficient seniority, gravitas and experience to persuade and influence senior management and business personnel;
- Significant knowledge and extensive experience of insurance law, regulation and compliance issues, preferably gained in house at an insurance or other financial services organisation;
- Excellent organisational, communication and drafting skills;
- Excellent knowledge of English and Dutch.
