We're rich in innovation and offer a consultative approach with our vendor partners to ensure we maximise the potential in each market, so preferably you will have good existing knowledge of the AV, IT or VC marketplace, or have the ability to rapidly become a specialist. You will liaise closely with our sales leads, business unit directors and heads of divisions to be the glue which ensures every opportunity is seized. **Responsibilities**: - Build Excellent customer and vendor sales relationships through proactive engagement and demonstrable specialist product knowledge under supervision - Generate new business opportunities by planning outbound calls to customers and can have a general conversation around a solution/product area - Achieve monthly/quarterly Revenue and Margin targets - Proactively develop relationships with key internal and external contacts - Engages in active inside selling by using a number of different sources to gain information on customers and utilises this to maximise call potential and outcomes - Manages customer backorder along specialist knowledge and engages in "intelligent project fishing" - In AS either manages project end-to-end or hands over to pre sales for technical requirements - Provide, sell and negotiate product information, pricing, special offers and promotions - Ensure Tech Data maintains service levels agreements with customers - Attainment of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) such as customer engagement - Sell the benefits of using Tech Data and the Company value proposition - Develops partner relationship (incl. account planning, cross-selling etc.) - Identifies project opportunities and engages with BDMs if specific product/ vendor knowledge is required - Drives sales of specific products/ vendors if specific knowledge is required - Provides accurate and timely quotations (SMB Managed (AS), SP/ E-Var/ SI segment, Specialists (IBM), entire AS BUs) - Generate and own a pipeline of deals in Tech Data's CRM system, which is regularly reviewed and updated and ensure active closure of opportunities - Manage customer backorder expectations and reporting - Ensure CRM system is well maintained and provides correct customer information **Knowledge Skills and Experience** - 1-2 years of experience - Numerate with good attention to detail - Excellent telephone manner - Priority management and planning skills - Strive to achieve set targets - Understands Sales Process - Effective Communication Skills - Good relationship building - Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook - A knowledge of product set would be desirable but not essential - IT industry knowledge would be desirable but not essential LI-DD1 **What's In It For You?** - ** Elective Benefits**: Our programs are tailored to your country to best accommodate your lifestyle. - ** Grow Your Career**:Accelerate your path to success (and keep up with the future) with formal programs on leadership and professional development, and many more on-demand courses. - ** Elevate Your Personal Well-Being**: Boost your financial, physical, and mental well-being through seminars, events, and our global Life Empowerment Assistance Program. - ** Diversity, Equity & Inclusion**:It's not just a phrase to
