Sdban Records is an independent label operating under the wings of its mother company N.E.W.S. NV based in Ghent, Belgium. The core business of the label is jazz music in all its facets: being it funky
grooves from the sixties and seventies or the freshest contemporary jazz acts emerging from the Belgian scene.

Sdban Records started off in 2014 as a sixties and seventies compilation and reissue label, with label boss Stefaan Vandenberghe his impressive personal vinyl collection at its core. Most iconic
compilations released on the label are Funky Chicken, Discophilia Belgica and Utopic Cities. The label also released reissues and retrospective compilations from the likes of André Brasseur, René Costy
and Koen De Bruyne.

Sister label Sdban Ultra focusses on supporting new and upcoming artists within the thriving Belgian jazz scene next too being a mainstay for already established and well known acts from that same
scene. Acts on the roster include STUFF., Black Flower, ECHT, Glass Museum, De Beren Gieren, Compro Oro, Condor Gruppe, Bandler Ching and many more.

As an established label, Sdban Records is now looking for a label assistant to reinforce its team and to broaden the label’s expansion with a major focus on an international level. We are looking for
someone who breathes the musical dna of the label and who is able to translate this addiction for music with a very wide array of tools and in different aspects.
- you will broaden our international network by maintaining and informing existing contacts but above all looking for new contacts and opportunities on an international level
- you will handle international promo and be on the lookout for (online) marketing possibilities
- you will be in charge of the label’s social media
- you will maintain the label’s website and be in charge of writing newsletters
- you will be the face of the label at shows from our bands and international showcases
- you will work closely with bands from our roster and their managements
- you will work closely with our sales department and the people in charge of the a&r, planning and production
- You will improve the label as a ‘brand’, promoting it in all its aspects: showcases, merchandise, collaborations,

**profiel kandidaat**:

- someone who feels and breathes the musical dna of the label
- someone with existing international contacts within the jazz scene is a big plus but not a must
- someone with a pro-active mindset and a creative approach and no-nonsense mentality
- someone with a good sense of initiative being able to work in team as well as working independently and without a 9 to 5 mentality
- a team player and a great communicator
- good language skills are a must (English, French ,Dutch, German), both written and spoken
- someone with a great knowledge of social media in all its aspects: marketing, advertising, targeting and innovative concepts within the major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Bandcamp, )
- someone who knows the ins and outs of the major streaming platforms
- graphic design skills and video editing is a plus
